GISSCO’s mission is to empower the metal casting industry with GISS Technology. We allow metal casters and parts producers to substantially reduce part rejects, energy consumption, and process times while extending die life and improving material properties. Developed by our founder during his PhD at MIT under renowned metallurgist Professor Merton Flemings, this patented technology has transformed manufacturing since 2009. GISSCO continues to innovate, driving toward a future of 100% reject-free die casting.

GISS Technology is applied in several die casting companies across the United States, Japan, South Korea, China, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, India, Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, Turkey, Vietnam, and Thailand.
Our valued global network of customers includes Toyota Motor Corporation, Hyundai Motor, Foxconn, LG Electronics, and numerous other prominent companies whose identities remain confidential under non-disclosure agreements. We are also actively pursuing expansion into additional countries to further extend our global presence.
GISSCO Timeline
The Gas Induced Semi-Solid (GISS) process to prepare a semi-solid structure was invented by Dr. Jessada Wannasin, Dr. Martinez, and Prof. Flemings at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
GISSCO started selling GISS Units in China and India.
GISS Units were used in more countries beyond Thailand, Korea, China, and India. These countries include Turkey, Mexico, Singapore, Switzerland, and Japan. More than 60 GISS Units were used in these 9 countries, with key customers including Toyota Motor Corporation, Foxconn, Hyundai Motor, and LG Electronics.
More than 80 GISS Units were shipped to over 10 countries around the world. The First International GISS Technology Forum was held in Shenzhen, China, on October 25, 2018.
More than 90 GISS Units were shipped around the world. The Second International GISS Technology Forum was held in Shanghai, China, on July 16, 2019.
More than 120 GISS Units were shipped to 11 countries around the world. The Third International GISS Technology Forum was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 3-5, 2022.
More than 150 GISS Units were shipped to 13 countries around the world. GISS Technology entered the Brazilian market. The first GISS Gravity Die Casting (GDC) machines were put into mass production. GISS Slurry Forging (SF) machines were developed and tested in several companies. The 4th International GISS Technology Forum was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 2-3, 2023.
